How To: “Great Outdoors” desert night sky card

I'm absolutely honoured to be a Guest Designer for A Blog Named Hero's Stay Crafty challenge. I was so inspired by this month's "The Great Outdoors" theme.

To start, I used the sun stencil from the August MMH kit and the orange reactive ink, then clear heat embossed, on some water colour paper. I then scribbled distress water colour pencils in Villainous, Prize Ribbon and Faded Jeans across the watercolour paper, sprayed with perfect Pearl water and Distress Mica Stain in Shiny Bauble and let dry.

For the main panel, I used the stencil in the August kit and the sand, brown and green inks, applying heavier pressure towards the bottom of the stencil. I die cut the panel and trimmed to size. I black heat embossed a sentiment on some vellum, tore the edges and then adhered in between my main and back panels. I finished with so clear gems and added to a black top folding note card.

I had so much fun with this theme, I hope you did too!
